In the new governmental and institutional travel sector, as a consequence of the very nature of the sector, it is common for security personnel to travel with the delegations, in order to ensure the security of the Head of Mission, the Delegation and their personal belongings, among other functions. Accordingly, in order to carry out their duties properly, they sometimes carry weapons during the course of the trip.

Through this course, the student will know the main requirements that must be fulfilled, regarding the weaponry, during a trip of this kind. In addition, the student will learn about the treatment that weapons receive according to their handling and transportation, what authorizations are necessary to request, and how to manage them in each stage of the government’s trip, among other aspects.

Those students who successfully complete this training will obtain a certificate issued by the United Nations through UNITAR (United Nations Institute for Training and Research).
